FAQ

Breeders' World/ BW Final Drive Youth Auctions: FAQ

1. What are the different options for hosting our Youth Premium Auction?

Breeders' World Final Drive offers several options:

  • "Add On" options: Allow individuals to financially support youth exhibitors without bidding on the animal itself. Donors can contribute additional funds to specific lots as a gift to the exhibitor.
  • Live Auction Clerking: traditional live auction with auctioneer of fairs choice. BW Final Drive will supply staff on sale day to clerk/ cashier your auction. Contact us early to insure staff availability.
  • Online Auctions: Similar to traditional live auctions, bidders compete for the premium bid. This format provides flexibility as the fair can choose whether or not the buyer takes possession of the animal.
  • Broadcast/Simulcast: Combines live bidding with online participation, allowing for a wider audience. It includes live video and audio feeds, a live bidding screen, and the option for add-ons.

2. How does the "Add On" feature work?

Individuals can contribute additional funds to specific lots even after the premium auction closes. They simply type in their offer and submit it. The add-on period can be customized to end 2, 3, 4, 5, or 7 days after the premium auction close.

NEW Feature: Buyers can now choose to display their company name or remain anonymous when placing an add-on.

3. Can youth exhibitors be involved in the online auction process?

Yes! Breeders' World encourages youth participation. Each lot has a unique URL to facilitate promotion on social media and other platforms.

4. How are funds collected and distributed?

The collection process is determined by the agreement between the fair and Breeders' World/BW Final Drive. Breeders' World/BW Final Drive can collect the funds or the show can handle it. If the fair collects, the online payment option will be deactivated.
